Walnut Creek

Designed for a young family, this dated ranch style home required a major intervention to improve the livability for their current and future selves. This family placed an emphasis on cooking, entertaining and separation of public and private spaces to help with sound transmission throughout the home. Sited on a prime half acre lot, the family wanted to preserve open space, while maintaining a single story structure.

Adding a central courtyard increases light brought into interior spaces, as well as helps the homeowners feel like they are living in a private resort.

Project currently under construction. Move in scheduled for winter ‘24/’25.
